The popular dating program "Heart Signal" has returned with an evolved version called "Heart Pairing."

On the morning of the 7th, an online production presentation for the new Channel A entertainment program "Heart Pairing" was conducted, attended by producer Park Cheol-hwan, Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Cheong-ah, Choi Si-won, Mimi, and Professor Park Ji-sun to discuss the program.

Channel A's "Heart Pairing" is a "marriage-oriented" dating program that depicts the "romance" and "reality checks" of young people who want to marry. With the intention of wanting to experience "one last romance before marriage," young men and women come together to get to know each other seriously in the process of finding a "potential spouse" beyond simply a "situationship."

In particular, "Heart Pairing" is a new work presented by producer Park Cheol-hwan from the "Heart Signal" series, which has received great attention since its planning stage, and filming was completed in beautiful romantic cities such as Florence and Tuscany in Italy at the end of last year.

Park Cheol-hwan noted the differences between "Heart Signal" and "Heart Pairing," saying, "As the saying goes, there is a turning point. There is a point where a person can change dramatically after 2-3 years. At that time, I think thoughts about dating also change. I have met many participants, and it seems that as they move from their late 20s to their 30s, it is not easy to meet someone if marriage is not a premise. Many participants declined to appear. Observing those individuals made me think about what they truly desire, leading to the concept of this program, which is about wanting to love someone with the premise of marriage."

As studio MCs, Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Cheong-ah, Super Junior's Choi Si-won, Oh My Girl's Mimi, and Professor Park Ji-sun of social psychology joined to delve into the participants' psychology and engage in "pairing."

Yoon Jong-shin, who also served as the MC for "Heart Signal," stated, "Since 'Heart Signal' and 'Heart Pairing' are similar in terms of dating and marriage but have different outcomes, the participants seem to have a more serious and realistic mindset for 'Heart Pairing.' The selection is not merely based on likability but is complicated by various factors, making deduction quite difficult. There is also the saying that dating and marriage are separate, right?"

Mimi also added, "Aside from the attractive participants, everything has changed. The perspective is completely different. Transitioning from a situationship to marriage is entirely different. It's a chaotic confusion."

New member Lee Cheong-ah shared, "I'm someone who doesn't care much about others' romances, but the only one I was really into was 'Heart Signal 4.' I fell deeply in love with it later. The producer expressed a wish for me to see our participants in a positive light, which resonated with me. As an actress, I wanted to feel that sentiment. I'm not someone good at flirting; I'm quite dull, so this time I thought about growing my romantic instinct while watching, and although I made some wrong deductions, I think I understand now."

Choi Si-won stated, "This will be my last time participating in 'Heart Signal.' After that, I got so immersed in dating programs that it affected my life, so I tend to avoid them. But today, I felt it again. I became immersed to the point of a headache. It was very enjoyable. The atmosphere and mindset of the participants are different. I'm grateful to be part of this. I'm participating with a lot of excitement and a healthy sense of tension. This year's vacation will definitely be in Italy; I’ve already decided."

Professor Park Ji-sun remarked, "I've always dreamed of being on a dating show. The foundation of dating shows is 'Heart Signal.' I'm delighted to be part of its evolved version 'Heart Pairing.' I watch all dating shows, and among them, I firmly believe that 'Heart Pairing' will conquer the world following 'Heart Signal.' If you watch the first episode, you might have various thoughts about the title 'Queen of Deduction.' However, isn't that part of the fun?"

In response to a question about whether her thoughts on marriage partners have changed, Lee Cheong-ah said, "Coming in as a dating program MC made me realize that I’m just like the viewers sitting here. However, there's a thrill in being able to see it first. Watching it also makes me think about myself. If I were to get married, I think the direction I want to go and the timing are important."

Choi Si-won continued, "Marriage is different from dating, so while there will be good and bad experiences, when facing many challenges, having similar values will lead to better resolutions. Values seem crucial. I'm thinking that I don’t have to match everything with my partner."

Producer Park Cheol-hwan discussed the viewing points, stating, "'Heart Signal' was a program that followed each individual's heart from the outset. 'Heart Pairing' is literally about the question of who matches well with me. Marriage is a path that I like, but at the same time, I can only take it if it suits me. It’s a challenging question whether the person I like can be compatible with me. The program captures the stories that can occur during that process. The variables that arise in that process are key viewing points. It was also an opportunity for me to realize what pairing is. I think viewers can reflect deeply while watching."

Lastly, Mimi, who previously claimed to have no interest in romance or marriage, said, "I'm heading towards marriage at high speed. Usually, those who have no interest in dating tend to focus on work, but they might feel the pull. This is the most thrilling experience, and I think many people will resonate with it, feeling like it's a life drama."

Meanwhile, the new dating entertainment program Channel A's 'Heart Pairing' will air for the first time at 10:50 p.m. on the same day.
