On the broadcast of MBC's entertainment program 'Save Me! Homes' on the 6th (Thursday), the hosts explored a silver town in the urban areas of Seoul and Gyeonggi Province.
This episode introduced the exploration of a silver town in urban settings, noting that as society ages, interest in silver towns is increasing. It explained that silver towns now provide various services and programs that enhance the quality of life in old age, raising expectations for the program.
This exploration featured Kim Dae-ho, who returned as a broadcaster after his declaration of independence, alongside comedian Lim Woo-il and Jang Dong-min. Recently, Kim Dae-ho garnered significant attention due to his declaration of independence, which led to various jokes from the KODI coordinators directed at him. Kim Dae-ho had attracted attention when he responded "yes" to the question on a recent broadcast regarding whether his criteria for choosing an agency was the amount of the contract money. He has recently signed an exclusive contract with OneHundred, led by singer MC Mong.
Meanwhile, the three introduced various infrastructures of the silver town that made them want to live there, and their bare-foot dedication in cold weather also drew interest.
The first location explored was the 'Pyeongchang-dong Silver Town' situated in Pyeongchang-dong, Jongno-gu. Located in a serene residential area surrounded by Bukak Mountain and Bukhansan, the silver town featured office-tel style separated studios with stunning rock views. Additionally, the rooftop garden offered a reflexology walking path for health, and it was the only silver town in the country that allowed companionship with pets.
The second location explored was the 'Seongbuk-gu Silver Town' located in Jongam-dong, Seongbuk-gu. Opened in 2007, this first-generation silver town boasted about 20 years of know-how. It had a spacious lobby and a basement with various community facilities, and the interiors were designed in a large APT. structure. The naturally lit living room offered an unobstructed city view, and safety devices were installed throughout the home.
The third location explored was the 'Kondae Entrance Silver Town' located in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin-gu. This 50-story building is situated amid optimal infrastructures such as universities and large department stores, with some floors currently utilized as a hotel. An orthopedic department from a university hospital and a 24-hour clinic were tenants, allowing for health check-ups once a year at the university hospital. The indoor living room, with its sun-drenched full-length windows, provided a panoramic view of Seoul's city center, and the iconic Namsan, Bukhansan, and Dobongsan mountains could be seen in the distance.
The fourth location explored was the 'Bundang-gu Silver Town' located in Jeongja-dong, Bundang-gu. This silver town, situated between Jeongja Station and Migeum Station, boasted a prime living zone in Bundang's city center. This was a sellable silver town where purchase or rental transactions were possible. A cultural center offering various programs was in operation, and the dining area was organized with reserved seating for seniors. The interiors could be remodeled according to personal taste, and the exploration site showcased sleek and safe interior designs.
