Lee Soo-min raises heart rates with her versatile performance that traverses the Joseon Dynasty and modern times.
The new drama "Heosikdang" (screenplay by Seong So-hyun, directed by Oh Hwan-min and Kim Kyung-eun) has revealed the first still of Lee Soo-min, who has perfectly transformed into both Mae-chang, a character with extraordinary talent, and Jeong Mi-sol, a CF star with a secret.
"Heosikdang" is a fantasy comedy romance drama based on the web novel of the same name (author Jeon Seon-young), in which the problematic figure Heo Gyun from the Joseon Dynasty crosses over to modern times 400 years later and inadvertently runs a restaurant, leading to a series of chaotic events.
The stills released on the 7th capture the extreme contrasts of Lee Soo-min, providing a strong impact. Mae-chang, a character known for her beautiful looks, is cherished by Heo Gyun (Si Woo-min) and Lee Cheom (Lee Se-on) from the Joseon Dynasty, and her exquisite hanbok in the stills draws attention. However, her gaze, seemingly filled with complicated stories, evokes curiosity about Mae-chang's hidden tale.
Meanwhile, Lee Soo-min transforms into the CF star Jeong Mi-sol in modern times, exuding a surprising charm. Mi-sol, who captures everyone's attention at a glance, made her appearance as a child actor and has dominated domestic CFs, but she is a person with undisclosed secrets. From her bright smile to her confident expressions, superstar Mi-sol's gestures uplift the mood. However, curiosity spikes at what secret is hidden behind her seemingly carefree demeanor.
In this way, Lee Soo-min, who has boldly challenged herself with the dual role, is expected to showcase an enchanting charm through the characters of "Mae-chang" from the Joseon Dynasty and "Jeong Mi-sol" in modern times. Attention is drawn to how she will portray the stories of each character and the passionate performance she will deliver.
Meanwhile, "Heosikdang" is co-planned by Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures and Corpus Japan and is set to be released on the 24th.
