Actor Yoon Jong-hoon showcased his top-notch royal court cuisine on 'New Menu Launch Restaurant.'
In the episode of KBS2TV's entertainment show 'New Menu Launch Restaurant' that aired on the 7th, Yoon Jong-hoon's efforts to prepare royal court cuisine for welcoming guests were showcased. Yoon Jong-hoon created dishes including 'Wolgwachae' (royal court japchae), Dongtaejeon, grilled pork, sashimi, and Shinsunro.
Boom expressed admiration, saying, "The master of Korean cuisine Yoon Jong-hoon has appeared," while Jang Min-ho noted, "It's difficult to be called a master unless you're exceptional."
Yoon Jong-hoon continuously chopped all the ingredients, cut them to size, and prepared five to six dishes over three hours. For the grilled pork, he tenderized each piece of meat, then chopped it finely and cut it to the length of his pinky finger before marinating it in gochujang and starting to grill each piece on a wire grid.
Then, Yoon Jong-hoon stated, "I will cut three pieces," and, "I will remove the bone as one piece and separate the outer and inner meat," while deftly slicing the whole Dongtae fish. The precision of Yoon Jong-hoon's hands, as he separated the materials for the Dongtaejeon and sashimi, was impressive. After mincing the beef shank finely with numerous cuts, he chopped green onions and crumbled tofu to balance the proportions, and the sashimi also received admiration. Boom expressed envy, asking, "Can I get the leftover minced beef? I want to make baby food for our little one."
Following this, Yoon Jong-hoon, who made every single meatball for the Shinsunro, took out the broth that had been simmering for several hours. The broth, containing beef, carrot, onion, green onion roots, and radish, was truly clear. Yoon Jong-hoon's guests, his closest friends from school, were impressed by his culinary skills.
They also took time to write phrases like true calligraphy friends. During this cozy time, Yoon Jong-hoon smiled brightly. Boom asked, "Honestly, didn't you feel under the weather that day?" Yoon Jong-hoon replied, "Honestly, I wasn't unwell, but it was tough to get up the next day," adding, "However, since everyone enjoyed it so much, I felt proud. In fact, I wanted to stop because it was very hard in the middle of it," eliciting laughter.
