'The producers of 'Searo' shared anecdotes from the filming process at restaurants.
On the afternoon of the 7th, a production presentation for the new ENA entertainment program 'Choi Hwajung and Kim Hoyoung's Searo' was held at Brookfield Hall, IFC Seoul, in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Choi Hwajung, Kim Hoyoung, ENA Producer Ahn Jaemin, and In&In Producer Kim Heedong attended the event to discuss.
'Choi Hwajung and Kim Hoyoung's Searo' (hereinafter 'Searo') is a talk show where the food-loving older sister Choi Hwajung and the knowledgeable gourmet Kim Hoyoung are invited to the favorite restaurants of stars to share food, philosophy, and encouragement.
On that day, Producer Ahn Jaemin noted the differences from other restaurant talk shows, saying, "What seniors often said is that if it is too Searo, viewers turn away. I've heard they want something a bit different. The small change is that in previous restaurant eating shows, the host either goes or is invited by the producers, but we have flipped that. Guests now go to their favorite restaurants, which is small but significant. They are guests but become more talkative while being observed eating deliciously. I think this reversal of relationships, though small, is what makes it new. Visually, it should be noted that Korea's best cameramen are filming restaurants that no one else could capture, making the unseen food look the prettiest possible."
Especially when asked if there were any difficulties in obtaining filming permits since the restaurants were not pre-arranged by the producers but chosen by the guests, Producer Kim Heedong said, "To be honest, we are going to these genuine favorite restaurants. Since everyone knows each other well, there was no discomfort in filming cooperation," but added, "If there is a funny situation, it's that when I go to introduce the guests or say this is a restaurant, there's usually a sign hanging at the entrance. And I've noticed that Sister Hwajung is always there. It's quite amusing to see that in every favorite restaurant."
Meanwhile, 'Choi Hwajung and Kim Hoyoung's Searo' will premiere on the 8th at 9:40 p.m.
