Kim Hee-chul reveals his own rumors on '20th Century Hitsong.'

The 255th episode of KBS Joy's '20th Century Hitsong,' airing on the 7th, will introduce songs from singers who suffered from rumors at the time, under the theme 'I heard it through the grapevine! Singers troubled by rumors.'

When the theme was announced, Kim Hee-chul mentioned, "Is my song going to play?" as he referred to his past where he was surrounded by rumors of a same-sex relationship with Epik High's Mithra.

On this day's broadcast, Fly to the Sky's 'Missing You,' which has been surrounded by dating rumors since their debut, will be introduced. The rumors of love between Fly to the Sky members were fueled when Miyou noted, "They acted in a way that could lead to misunderstandings, even on variety shows, promoting the rumors."

In the past, on a variety show, when Brian referred to Hwanhee as his "wife," Hwanhee replied, "I am a male," and Brian introduced Hwanhee again as "our husband."

Hwanhee also revealed that when Brian had to go to the U.S. due to visa issues during their second album activities, his father came to pick him up but opposed Brian's singing career, and both of them said, "Please don't let us be apart," which they considered the team's biggest crisis and where the rumors likely originated.

Another example of same-sex scandal involves rumors of a relationship between Super Junior's Kim Hee-chul and Epik High's Mithra. Kim Hee-chul stated, "At some point, Mithra secretly contacted me while keeping it a secret from the Epik High members, which made it strange," adding, "I frequently rode in Mithra's car because it has a comfortable ride, and eventually, I replaced my car with the same one," revealing the situation that led to the rumors. In response, Miyou humorously asked, "Who was the male?" causing laughter in the studio.

Additionally, the episode will explore stories such as a popular singer's eight-year unrequited love captured in a song that was never to be discovered, rumors that a singer known as the symbol of purity at the time was actually a cross-dresser, and an incident where a rival singer was implicated in a famous singer's assault case that once stirred the public. This will all be confirmed on the 255th episode of '20th Century Hitsong,' airing today (7th) at 8:30 p.m. on the KBS Joy channel.

'20th Century Hitsong' airs every Friday night at 8:30 p.m. on LG U+tv Channel 1, Genie TV Channel 41, SK Btv Channel 53, and the KBS mobile app 'my K'. The regional cable channel numbers can be checked on the KBS N website.
