Actress Lee Cheong-ah shared her thoughts about taking on the role of MC for a dating program.
At the online press conference for the new Channel A entertainment program "Heart Pairing" held via live stream on the morning of the 7th, producer Park Cheol-hwan, Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Cheong-ah, Choi Si-won, Mimi, and Professor Park Ji-sun attended and discussed the program.
Channel A's "Heart Pairing" is a dating program that portrays the pre-marital dating diaries of youth who are eager to marry, filled with "romance" and "reality check." Young men and women who gathered with the desire to "have their last romantic relationship before marriage" seriously get to know each other to look for their "future spouse" beyond just dating.
Studio MCs Yoon Jong-shin, Lee Cheong-ah, Super Junior's Choi Si-won, Oh My Girl's Mimi, and Professor Park Ji-sun from social psychology join to analyze the psychology of the participants and engage in "pairing."
Newly joined Lee Cheong-ah noted, "I am someone who is not very interested in other people's relationships, but the only show I watched was 'Heart Signal 4.' I ended up getting hooked late. It touched my heart when the producer said he hoped I would view our contestants positively. Since I'm an actress, I wanted to feel that sentiment. I'm not very skilled at flirting; I'm rather dull. I thought about nurturing my romantic instincts as I watched, and although I guessed incorrectly this time, I think I get it now."
When asked if her thoughts about a marriage partner have changed, Lee Cheong-ah replied, "What I've learned from being an MC on a dating program is that I'm just like the viewers sitting here. However, there is the excitement of being able to see things ahead of others. There are aspects that lead me to think about myself while watching. I believe that if I get married, the direction and timing of where I want to go are important."
Meanwhile, the new dating reality show Channel A's "Heart Pairing" will premiere at 10:50 p.m. today.
