Park Seok-hyung, chief producer of 'The Seasons,' revealed the reason for casting Park Bo-gum as the host.
On the 7th, a 'KBS Spring New Entertainment Program Presentation' was held at KBS in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Attending the event were Han Kyung-cheon, head of the entertainment center, Lee Hwang-seon, chief producer, Park Deok-seon, chief producer, Park Seok-hyung, chief producer, and Park Min-jeong, chief producer.
KBS, celebrating its 52nd anniversary, is unveiling new programs in 2025 with a major spring reorganization aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of entertainment and drama content. In particular, to capture the younger audience aged 20-49, the entertainment segment is targeting killer content, showcasing high-profile figures like Kang Ho-dong, Park Bo-gum, and Lee Min-jung as new hosts to enhance program competitiveness.
'The Seasons,' now in its seventh season, has cast actor Park Bo-gum as the host. This marks the program's first attempt at having an actor as the host, and deep music talks are expected under the title 'Park Bo-gum's Cantabile.'
Park Seok-hyung said, "Since this is the seventh season and the new host is the first actor instead of a musician, I hope you will watch and look forward to it. The new MC Park Bo-gum is also an adventure for us. Given the nature of a music program, there are many 1:1 talks with the participants, so understanding and respect for each other are essential. Park Bo-gum, while being an actor, also communicates with musicians, and I feel that he has a deep musical insight and love. I think that part will blend well into the program."
Meanwhile, KBS2's 'The Seasons - Park Bo-gum's Cantabile' will premiere on the 14th at 10 p.m.
