Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) with President Park Jang-beom is set to replace the anchors for major news and current affairs programs, including the weekend 'News 9', starting on the 10th.

The weekend 'News 9' on 1TV will be hosted solely by anchor Lee Yoon-hee. It has been 33 years since a female anchor has hosted weekend news alone, following Shin Eun-kyung, who previously hosted 'Weekend 9 o'clock News' independently. Lee Yoon-hee, who joined KBS as part of the 27th recruitment class in 2001, has accumulated reporting experience in various departments, including social affairs, politics, and the economy. She has also served as a major news anchor for 'News Time', 'News 12', 'News Line W', and recently for 'Economic Concert'. KBS noted, "Lee Yoon-hee is the ideal candidate to host the weekend 'News 9' alone, with her solid reporting and hosting experience," adding that this would provide news useful for wrapping up the past week and preparing for the new one.

The evening news on 1TV, 'News 7', will be hosted by anchors Kim Hee-soo and Heo Yoo-won. Kim Hee-soo joined KBS as part of the 28th recruitment class in 2002 and has demonstrated a stable hosting style primarily in international news programs like 'Global 24' and 'World News'. Heo Yoo-won, who joined in 2023 as part of the 50th recruitment class, is expected to bring freshness to her first regular news hosting.

The late-night news on 1TV, 'News Line W', will be hosted by Kim Hyun-kyung, the current host of the weekend 'News 9'. Kim Hyun-kyung, who joined in 2000 as part of the 26th recruitment class, is expected to lead the late-night news with her characteristic calmness.

The weekend 'News Plaza' on 1TV will be hosted by anchors Kim Jin-hyun and Jeong Eun-hye, while 'News 5' will be hosted by anchors Kim Ji-yoon and Lim Ji-woong, and '930 News' will be hosted by anchor Guk Hye-jeong, as they undergo a Director General change.

The current affairs program 'Sasa Geon Geon' on 1TV has newly appointed anchor Kim Yong-joon. Kim Yong-joon, who previously showcased quick and lively hosting through 1Radio's 'News Letter K', is expected to bring a new breeze to 'Sasa Geon Geon'.

The new anchor for the 2TV economic news program 'Economic Concert' will be reporter Kim Young-min. Anchor Kim Young-min has previously hosted 'News 6', which aired during the same time slot. Anchor Lee Ye-won will also continue to host the 2TV international news program 'World 24'.
