It was announced that singer and actress IU (real name Lee Ji-eun) will appear in 'Salon Drip 2.'
On the 4th, actors Lee Sun-bin and Kang Tae-oh appeared on the 'Salon Drip 2' channel under the title 'It’s okay for my best friend to use heart emojis with my boyfriend.'
In the preview that day, IU appeared, stating, "I’m so glad to be born as IU," and displayed her honest wit. Additionally, responding to rumors that she looks very much like her younger brother, she said, "On days I’m not feeling well, they say I look like Dolsoe," which also brought laughter.
More than anything, IU noted her consistent gesture of kindness, saying she sends "100 gifts for the holidays." When asked if there were any gift dropouts, she said, "Please keep it a secret," hinting at this with curiosity.
Furthermore, IU recalled a poignant moment when she asked her father how long he wanted to live, stating, "You absolutely cannot die before me," shedding tears. This side of the devoted daughter prompted Jang Do-yeon to empathize, saying, "Now I understand why IU does that," leaving curiosity about their conversation.
Meanwhile, 'Bullied and Deceived' featuring IU and Park Bo-gum is a Netflix series depicting the adventurous life of a 'sassy rebel' named Oae-soon, born in Jeju, and a 'good-for-nothing' named Kwan-sik, unfolded through the four seasons. In the series, IU plays the role of the 'sassy rebel' Oae-soon, reuniting with director Kim Won-seok after 7 years since 'The Man from Nowhere.'
Director Kim Won-seok praised IU, saying, "She’s such an amazing actress. She didn’t just grow while working on 'The Man from Nowhere,' she was already extraordinary before that, a fantastic actress. She’s incredibly busy musically and continues to evolve, and when you think about how much effort she puts into both, it’s really impressive."
Meanwhile, 'Bullied and Deceived' will premiere on March 7 and will release four episodes every Friday over four weeks.
