Disney+'s first original medical thriller of 2025, 'Hyperknife,' has released its main poster and main trailer, maximizing tension with the explosive performances of the actors and an unpredictable story.

The main poster, which was released first, overwhelms the viewer with the image of 'Seok' (Park Eun-bin) and 'Deok-hee' (Seol Kyung-gu) standing back-to-back in a split brain under the copy, 'Hate to death, my decalcomania.' It hints at the fates of the two characters who hate each other to death but can never escape, raising curiosity about the extreme synergy they will create.

In another poster, two people with the same pose and expression gaze directly at the camera, contrasting sharply between the university hospital operating room and the illegal surgical venue, leaving a strong impression. As the copy says, 'The more I look, the more they resemble each other, even slightly crazy,' the poster depicts their similar fates despite walking completely opposite paths due to a single incident. The teacher who cruelly turned away from the student returns, and their story foreshadows an unavoidable clash at the end, amplifying expectations.

The main trailer, released alongside, begins with a shocking opening that heightens immersion. 'Seok' strangles and kills a woman who blackmails him using the illegal surgery as leverage without hesitation. His cold and brutal demeanor adds suffocating tension and further raises expectations for the plot to unfold. Meanwhile, amidst police chasing the traces of illegal surgery, the world’s top neurosurgeon 'Deok-hee' is convinced that the protagonist is his student 'Seok.'

After searching for his student after six years, 'Deok-hee' says to 'Seok,' 'I can't operate on myself, can I?' entrusting his life to him, as the two find themselves intertwined again, piquing curiosity about what other truths they will face. As tensions rise about the relationship between 'Jung Seok' and 'Choi Deok-hee,' who know each other better than anyone and thus hate each other deeper than anyone, 'Hyperknife' is anticipated to become the most compelling psychological warfare piece of March. Notably, the explosive performances of South Korea’s top actors, including Park Eun-bin, Seol Kyung-gu, Yoon Chan-young, and Park Byeong-eun, combine with the work’s intense tone and mood, further exciting fans.

The medical thriller 'Hyperknife,' depicting the fierce confrontation between 'Seok,' once a promising genius doctor, and his teacher 'Deok-hee,' who brought him down, focuses attention on Park Eun-bin, who perfectly portrayed the complex character ‘Woo Young-woo,’ a genius lawyer on the autism spectrum in 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo,' and won the Daesang at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards in the television category, as she prepares for a new acting transformation.

Furthermore, Seol Kyung-gu, an irreplaceable actor who not only won the Best Actor award in the film category at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards for 'Kingmaker' but also received great love for perfect performances in each work, will take on the role of 'Deok-hee,' the world’s top neurosurgeon who cruelly cast away 'Seok,' heightening expectations for the explosive acting rivalry between the two actors. Also, Yoon Chan-young, who has appeared in the 'Boys Flight' series, 'Delivery Man,' 'All of Us Are Dead,' and gained hot love from fans for both visuals and acting talent, will take on the role of 'Seo Young-joo,' who acts as 'Seok's' bodyguard, always protecting him like a shadow. Park Byeong-eun, who has captivated the public across various genres including the films 'Citizen Deok-hee,' 'Mathematician in Wonderland,' the drama 'Seonsan,' and Disney+'s 'Moving,' will play the role of 'Han Hyun-ho,' an anesthesiologist who helps 'Seok' continue his surgeries while regretting his genius talent, promising remarkable performances.

Finally, director Kim Jung-hyun, who deeply encapsulated tension in numerous works like 'Day and Night' and 'Crazy Love,' is signaling the birth of a differentiated medical thriller.

'Hyperknife' will be available on Disney+ starting March 19.
