Actor Lee Se-on shows extreme contrasting charm through the "drama" 'Heosikdang.'

The new "drama" 'Heosikdang' (directed by Oh Hwan-min and Kim Kyung-eun / written by Seong So-hyun) is a fantasy comedy romance "drama" about the problematic historical figure Heo Gyun from the Joseon Dynasty who unexpectedly finds himself running a restaurant 400 years later in modern times, based on the web novel of the same name by Jeon Seon-young.

In the "drama," Lee Se-on takes on the roles of both Lee I-cham, a goal-oriented character from the Joseon era, and Lee Hyuk, a contemporary figure who has earned the title of Korea's youngest master chef, challenging himself with his first dual role. He possesses a sharp intellect and a lack of guilt, and he is someone who will achieve what he sets out to do. Notably, the present-day Lee Hyuk values wealth and fame, viewing cooking merely as a means to achieve his desires and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.

In stills released today (6th), Lee Se-on appears fully immersed in his character, seamlessly blending elements from both the Joseon and modern eras, captivating the anticipation of viewers. His ambiguous expression and sharp gaze raise questions about their meaning, amplifying curiosity with an aura that seems to conceal coldness.

In another still, various facets of the 'black curtain chef' Lee Hyuk are shown, drawing attention. Lee Hyuk is seen joyfully celebrating after receiving recognition as a master chef, yet he rests his chin on one hand, lost in thought. What ambitions lie behind the warm smile of Lee Hyuk, who possesses a cold demeanor that will not hesitate to remove anything that is not beneficial?

As the impact of Lee Hyuk's presence on the "drama" raises questions, Lee Se-on portrays both characters simultaneously, hinting at conflict with his colleague and friend Siu-min (played by Heo Gyun). Attention is focused on his new acting transformation, which promises to steer the "drama" in unexpected directions.

Meanwhile, 'Heosikdang' is jointly planned by Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures and Corpus Japan and is set to premiere on the 24th (Monday).
