Exo member Xiumin is in conflict with KBS regarding his appearance on a music show, and singer Imujin also did not participate in the recording of the 'Limousine Service'.
According to the industry on the 6th, Imujin did not take part in the recording of the YouTube channel KBS Kpop web entertainment 'Limousine Service' scheduled for the 5th. As it is known that Xiumin's agency is in conflict with KBS over his appearance on KBS 2TV's 'Music Bank', the absence of Imujin from the recording has intensified the issue.
Imujin's agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, is a subsidiary of One Hundred, which includes EXO's Xiumin, Baekhyun, and Chen in INB100. It is speculated that the conflict with KBS over Xiumin's appearance on the music show has led to Imujin's decision not to participate in the recording.
In connection with this, a representative from One Hundred stated, "We have not been able to contact the entertainment center director at KBS, who holds final responsibility for the appearance of our artists, for two weeks. We have relayed this to various PDs multiple times, but we have not received any responses and have not even been able to meet with them."
They further explained, "Given that the center director, who is responsible for decisions regarding artist appearances, is unresponsive, we have no choice but to interpret this as a refusal for all of our artists to appear, which has resulted in the current situation. If our artists participate while being cautious due to the conditions set by KBS, we believe this situation will solidify and ultimately lead to continued unfair circumstances."
Previously, One Hundred issued an official statement on the 4th, stating, "Xiumin, who is associated with label INB100, is set to release his solo album on March 10. We have made several efforts to meet with the broadcasting station, but KBS has remained silent and unresponsive. The representative mentioned that 'KBS has expressed informally that Xiumin's simultaneous appearance on programs where SM Entertainment artists appear, such as KBS2's 'Music Bank', is impossible.' They continued to reach out until today but were ignored."
In response, KBS stated that it was "not true."
Ultimately, the head of One Hundred even took to his social media to post a critical message, which he later deleted. As the conflict has intensified with Imujin's absence from the recording following the dispute involving Xiumin, it is expected that the fallout will continue for the time being.
