Singer and actress Yoon Eun-hye stayed up all night watching her representative work "Goong."
Yoon Eun-hye posted a captured image from the drama "Goong" on the 6th, saying, "I discovered it after finishing work yesterday and ended up watching until morning... But I am watching it again, haha."
She further noted, "I'm not great at reading comments, but there are also members of the early morning crew, haha," and said, "You all remember the lines, bringing back memories~ thank you."
The released photo features a scene from the YouTube channel "MBC Drama" live streaming the masterpiece "Goong." Yoon Eun-hye confessed that she accidentally discovered it in the early morning and ended up watching until the night was gone and morning came. She remarked, "But I am watching it again. It brings back memories," revealing her fandom for "Goong."
"Goong," which first aired in January 2006, is based on a popular comic of the same name and starts with the premise that South Korea maintains a constitutional monarchy. It depicts the story of an ordinary high school girl, Shin Chae-kyung (played by Yoon Eun-hye), who enters into an arranged marriage with the crown prince Lee Shin (played by Ju Ji-hoon) due to a promise made between their grandfathers.
It was the acting debut work of Yoon Eun-hye, who transitioned from the girl group Baby Vox, and model-turned-actor Ju Ji-hoon, who also started acting through "Goong." Before the broadcast, fervent fans of the original comic opposed the casting of Yoon Eun-hye and Ju Ji-hoon due to concerns about their acting skills, but both of them successfully embodied their characters, leading to a peak rating of 27% (according to Nielsen Korea). Director Hwang In-roi's delicate directing, luxurious and glamorous art, perfectly fitting OST, and teddy bear direction are still talked about today.
Meanwhile, Yoon Eun-hye drew attention by taking the stage as a complete group with Baby Vox members at last year's year-end music awards. She is actively involved in activities, including appearing in the Netflix original variety show "Churai Churai."
