The group New Jeans (NJZ) members' side claimed that Adore is trying to restrict all their entertainment activities, and Adore's side has stated its position.
Adore said on the 6th, "Adore is in the process of a 'provisional injunction to maintain the agency's status and to prohibit the signing of advertising contracts.' Since New Jeans has expanded its activities by announcing a new song and previewing a large overseas performance, it has inevitably expanded the purpose of the injunction application."
The statement continued, "This is not intended to restrict activities but is meant to say that we want to engage in entertainment activities 'together with Adore' while 'keeping the contract.'" It emphasized, "As we have already publicly stated, we have never pressured the performance organizers, nor has the application purpose been expanded as a retaliatory measure."
Adore stated, "We want to clarify various misunderstandings about the artist in court tomorrow and seek a judgment that Adore is the agency for New Jeans, which numerous members have been waiting for."
Previously, the New Jeans members claimed through social media on the same day, "Adore requested on the 11th to expand the purpose of the injunction application to prohibit all music activities, including NJZ's lyrics, composition, performance, and singing, as well as all other ancillary activities."
Meanwhile, New Jeans declared the termination of its exclusive contract with Adore, announced its new team name NJZ last month, opened a new account, and previewed its appearance at the 'Complex Live' in Hong Kong.
