Singer Park Hyun-bin recalled the four-car pile-up accident on the highway.
On the 5th, TV CHOSUN's 'Perfect Life' featured Park Hyun-bin appearing alongside his mother, Jeong Seong-eun, sharing various stories.
That day, Park Hyun-bin and Jeong Seong-eun expressed their overwhelming excitement, saying, "The studio atmosphere is just killing it." With their vibrant energy, Shin Seung-hwan noted, "The two of you have similar tones. When Park Hyun-bin sings, his mother follows along exactly."
Jeong Seong-eun was a famous star vocal instructor. She said, "Originally, I was from the U.S. Army Base performance stage. After getting married, I was just doing household chores, but I was so hungry for singing that my biological younger sibling, who is also actress Lee Yoon-ji, suggested that I try giving singing lessons, and that's how I started." Jeong Seong-eun added, "I still teach singing now," and Park Hyun-bin said that he learned songs from his mother when he had to sing songs from seniors.
Park Hyun-bin said, "After singing a lot on stage, I felt my stamina was decreasing. My face was on the nationwide night stage posters, so my schedule flipped from day to night. As I traveled to Daegu, Gumi, and Changwon, and then came up to Seoul, my extreme schedule messed up my sleep patterns. At that time, I couldn't see the sun. I would fall asleep when the sun rose and wake up when the sun set."
At 70, Jeong Seong-eun said, "Not being able to sleep became a part of my daily life. I had insomnia. In the beginning, not getting sleep did not affect my singing the next day. Now, it's not working out well for me. If I don't sleep the night before, I can't manage my expressions. I thought I can't just leave my insomnia unattended, so I decided to appear for help."
The video showed Jeong Seong-eun preparing a meal for Park Hyun-bin after he returned from his overseas tour. While eating, Park Hyun-bin recalled the four-car pile-up accident he experienced on the highway in 2016. He said, "There was a serious accident," adding, "I told my parents that I was okay and not badly injured, thinking they would worry. But I couldn't lift my right leg. I asked the DAEWON personnel to help me walk again, even if it took a long time. I received psychiatric treatment for the trauma of the accident and trained for rehabilitation to get back on stage. After two years, I finally went back on stage."
Jeong Seong-eun said, "It's a shock I will never forget for my whole life. I stayed up all night in front of the emergency surgery room, and when I first saw him in the intensive care unit, I burst into tears."
