Broadcaster Hyun-young mentioned the changed atmosphere following comedian Lee Su-ji's satirical video.
On the 3rd, the channel 'YouTube Boom' posted a video titled '12 billion won by graduation? Click if you're a mom searching for international schools. Songdo mom Hyun-young organizes children's education.'
That day, Boom visited Songdo to meet Hyun-young. In response to Boom's remark that "if you say Songdo mom, the top is Hyun-young," Hyun-young replied, "That's not true..." and appeared somewhat embarrassed. However, she expressed a high level of satisfaction with Songdo, stating, "I have been in Songdo for 5 years. The city is clean. There is a timing for people, and since I moved in, it has risen a lot from that year."
During the conversation, Boom brought up Lee Su-ji's video parodying the hot topic of the moment, which is the Dae-chis. Hyun-young responded that she also watched it with laughter, and Boom asked directly, "Did you have your Moncler padding?" generating laughter.
In response, Hyun-young laughed heartily and said, "No, I don't have that." She added, "I don't wear that. But honestly, a lot of moms wear it." Boom asked again, "Even here in Songdo?" and Hyun-young affirmed it, saying, "But these days, they don't wear it. They really don't wear it, it's really amazing."
Boom also asked, "Like in that video, were you waiting in the car eating something?" Hyun-young responded, "Yes," and explained, "It's like a stakeout. Whenever there are swimming competitions in the provinces, I go for 3 or 4 days. I bring tents, mats, and stretching tools."
Meanwhile, when Hyun-young was asked about her opinion on 'English kindergarten,' she honestly replied, "I think it's good because it makes it easier to acquire a second language when you are young."
Hyun-young also explained the reason for sending her children to international schools and the tuition fees, saying, "We had a school tour. It cost about 100 million won. They say you have to spend that much to teach the international school education system. Half in dollars, half in Hanwha. When the dollar goes up, it gets expensive. So you need to save up in advance."
