WEi member Kim Jun-seo has taken a successful first step as an actor.
Kim Jun-seo played the lead role of Jeong Da-on in the drama "Secret Love" (written by Lee Yu-jin, directed by Yang Kyung-hee), which was first released on Watcha on the 27th of last month.
In the 1st and 2nd episodes, Kim Jun-seo received praise for finely portraying complex emotions, including Jeong Da-on's unrequited love for Jae-min (played by Kim Ho-young), the antagonistic synergy with Seong-hyeon (played by Cha Seon-hyung), and anger towards Soo-hyun (played by Cha Jeong-woo). In particular, the scene where he, inebriated, tells Jae-min not to meet Soo-hyun conveyed deep emotions.
Additionally, Kim Jun-seo demonstrated stable acting skills by skillfully absorbing the character's emotional conflicts, such as confronting a father who comes to demand money and feeling disheartened after witnessing gossip among co-workers.
With Kim Jun-seo's efforts, "Secret Love" reached number one on the Watcha series charts after its release, signaling a successful debut for the actor. As "Secret Love" is being broadcast simultaneously worldwide on various platforms, the drama's momentum is expected to further intensify with each passing episode.
Kim Jun-seo debuted in 2020 with WEi, gaining attention as an all-rounder member with stunning visuals and refreshing performance skills. Attention is focused on his multifaceted charm blossoming not only in his main job but also as an actor. New episodes of "Secret Love" featuring Kim Jun-seo are uploaded every Thursday and Friday at midnight on Watcha.
