Kim Dae-ho revealed the reason for choosing 'The Great Guide 2' as his first entertainment show after leaving his job.
MBC Everyone's 'The Great Guide 2' has confirmed its premiere on April 8, Tuesday, at 8:30 p.m. and released a teaser video featuring the characters of the three travel mates. Previously, photos of Park Myung-soo, Kim Dae-ho, and Choi Daniel departing for Rwanda in Africa were released, and the teaser video published on March 5 heightens expectations with its unique travel stories from the three individuals.
First, in Kim Dae-ho's character teaser video, an interview taken just 48 hours after he resigned is featured. He chose 'The Great Guide 2' as his first program after declaring his freelance career, expressing his regret, saying, "After traveling to the first country during Season 1, I was too busy to join the next trip." He noted his joy about joining Season 2, stating, "I thought, 'That should have been my place' while watching the broadcast."
Next, Kim Dae-ho's preferred travel style was revealed. He stated, "I love traveling to the great outdoors or extreme remote areas," as scenes of him relishing freedom by lying in nature and camping unfolded behind his voice. Kim Dae-ho, who began a new challenge after leaving his job, is expected to provide viewers with a unique sense of healing as he enjoys his freedom happily.
The teaser video for Park Myung-soo begins with his cynical remark, "Are we really doing Season 2?" The producer of 'The Great Guide' asks Park Myung-soo about his experience shooting in Kenya for 'Infinite Challenge,' hinting that the new travel destination for Season 2 will be Africa. Recalling the difficulties from that time, Park Myung-soo questions, "Isn't it obvious to just go and see nature?"
However, the producer warns that this trip will be completely different from what he thinks of as an African travel experience. Along with this, scenes of Park Myung-soo marveling at vibrant cityscapes, nature beyond a different dimension, and delicious food are consecutively revealed. There is high anticipation for this trip, which aims to break Park Myung-soo's prejudices about 'African travel.'
Finally, Choi Daniel displays his quirky charm by suddenly stating during his first meeting with the production team, "I have seen a UFO." When asked if he communicates well with locals while traveling, he replies, "I don't do it proactively," but in the following video, he actively introduces himself to locals.
In contrast to his claim of being fearful of interacting with locals, he is seen dancing together, and despite saying he doesn't get motion sickness, he is shown struggling with motion sickness on the bus, emphasizing his quirky charm. Contrary to his statement, "I think of myself as boring," his entertainment value is anticipated to evoke laughter just from watching.
Above all, there is curiosity about the synergy the three individuals, each with distinct personalities and travel styles, will create together. With Park Myung-soo's cynical humor, Kim Dae-ho's free spirit, and Choi Daniel's quirky charm, the first journey of 'The Great Guide 2' is expected to create unpredictable chemistry.
