Kim Jeong-yeon from 'Six o'clock hometown' rolled up her sleeves to assist senior lifelong learners.

On the broadcast of KBS1 'Six o'clock hometown' on 4th, the 'national guide girl' Kim Jeong-yeon was seen boarding a hometown bus in Yangsan City, South Gyeongsang Province, meeting the life stories of neighbors. On this day, Kim Jeong-yeon entered Busan for the first time on 'Follow the country road, follow the life road' with special students who are eagerly awaiting the new semester starting in 2025, garnering viewers' attention.

Kim Jeong-yeon, who boarded a bus in downtown Yangsan, asked two friendly seniors sitting side by side where they were heading. To her surprise, they replied, 'We are going to promote the school.' One senior, who revealed, 'I am attending a high school without age restrictions where mothers and regular students attend classes together,' seemed very happy to have become a high school student, saying, 'We are currently going on a field trip and also a picnic.'

When they mentioned they planned to distribute pamphlets to find new students, Kim Jeong-yeon eagerly offered to help. She volunteered to distribute pamphlets alongside them. While Kim Jeong-yeon is conducting a segment with the concept of a guide girl riding the rural bus, she sincerely cares for the seniors and sometimes forgets the concept. On this day, a senior remarked, 'The guide girl has made it big,' causing laughter.

Upon arriving in the bustling district of Busan, Kim Jeong-yeon met lively seniors and remarked, 'Maybe it’s because they’re high school girls, they are different,' and she joyfully led the atmosphere, asking, 'Why didn’t you do your perilla leaf hairstyle today?' As a senior passing by showed interest due to her energetic demeanor, Kim Jeong-yeon quickly offered a pamphlet. The senior responded, 'The friend who graduated from university looks down on me,' and added, 'I will call you next time,' signaling a positive response.

Kim Jeong-yeon and the high school girls introduced the school to the citizens and continued their vigorous promotion despite the cold weather. The reason seniors have such fondness for the school is that they have long harbored a dream for academics. One senior shared, 'Every time the school requested a survey on students’ family backgrounds, it hurt me the most to fill out the parental education level. I was always intimidated in society, and that trauma made me want to attend school.'

Kim Jeong-yeon stated, 'Seniors who have rediscovered the dreams they lost in their busy lives are enjoying school life more than anyone else,' and she sent applause, cheering for seniors’ high school lives and their ongoing challenges towards university advancement.
