Actress Kwak Sun-young shared her feelings about challenging her first film.
On the 5th at the Seoul CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall, a press screening and media conference for the film 'Invasion' (script/director Kim Yeo-jung, Lee Jeong-chan, provided/distributed and produced by Studio Santa Claus Entertainment, co-produced by Bluefire Studio) took place, with actors Kwak Sun-young, Kwon Yu-ri, Lee Seol, Kim Yeo-jung, and director Lee Jeong-chan in attendance.
The film 'Invasion' is a psychological thriller that depicts the cracks occurring when Yong-eun (Kwak Sun-young), whose daily life is collapsing due to her daughter So-hyun's strange behavior, encounters Min (Kwon Yu-ri), who lost her memories of the past 20 years later, and Ha-young (Lee Seol).
On this day, Kwak Sun-young remarked on taking on her first film, saying, "This year marks 20 years since my debut. Many have asked why I've only now started filming, but I've worked really hard at the roles and positions I've been given until now. However, it feels like I was waiting for the opportunity to meet the film 'Invasion.'"
She continued, "It seems that this is how I began my journey into film. I find it fascinating. I go to watch movies in Yongsan, and it's incredible that my face is featured here. Later, my parents are coming here, and I'm going to see whether they cry or not," adding a light-hearted tone that brought smiles.
Regarding the release of 'Invasion' alongside the film 'Lobby' around the same time, she said, "Two films are being released at the same time. I'm truly grateful and it feels like a dream."
She expressed, "I just hope to act, anywhere is fine; I just wish I could act,' said my 10s and 20s self. Truly, I succeeded," adding with a smile, "I'm grateful that these two films can be released simultaneously. I hope both films help each other and do well."
In her closing remarks, Kwak Sun-young said, "I am really grateful. I truly feel thankful," showing an emotional moment that drew attention.
