Singer Nam Jin (79) is embarking on a national tour to mark his 60th anniversary since debut.
According to concert planning agency Mstn on the 5th, Nam Jin will kick off the '60th Anniversary Celebration Concert - 2025 Nam Jin National Tour' on the 15th at Jeonbuk National University Samsung Cultural Center in Jeonju. The tour will continue on the 22nd at Gwangmyeong Citizens' Sports Center, the 29th at Gwangju Kim Dae-jung Convention Center Multipurpose Hall, April 12 at Jeju Halla Gymnasium, the 26th at Seoul Sejong University Daeyang Hall, and June 1 at Incheon Songdo Convensia.
Known to fans as 'eternal oppa,' Nam Jin will present a hit song parade including 'Together with You,' 'To You, My Heart,' and 'Nest' accompanied by a live band at this concert. With singer Na Hoon-a, who formed a rivalry with Nam Jin in the 1960s and 70s, retiring after his concert earlier this year, Nam Jin seems poised to continue showcasing his enduring appeal.
Nam Jin emphasized, 'Thanks to the fans who have loved me unchangingly for 60 years, I have been able to stand on stage until now. This national tour will be a stage of gratitude for everyone who has been with me throughout my music life.'
Nam Jin debuted in 1965 with his first album 'Seoul Playboy,' gaining popularity for his singing style reminiscent of American rock 'n' roll star Elvis Presley and his deep masculine voice. He also starred in over 60 films. He was named MBC's Top 10 Singers for three consecutive years from 1971 to 1973. He received the Order of Cultural Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2005 and the Silver Culture Medal from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2017.
