Scheduled to premiere on April 4 at 9:50 p.m., the new MBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Bunny and Oppas' (directed by Kim Ji-hoon, written by Seong So-eun and Lee Seul) is a romantic story about Bunny's quest for a boyfriend after her first love becomes a dark history, becoming entangled with suddenly charming men. It is based on the Kakao webtoon of the same name, which has recorded 170 million cumulative views.
In the drama, Joo Jun-young plays Chai Ji-won, the representative of the Department of Sculpture at Yein University. He is a sought-after returning student who embodies the qualities of a prince with a dazzling appearance like a sculpture, a caring personality, outstanding skills typical of a sculpture major, and the background of being a third-generation chaebol. He boasts an overwhelming presence as a character who lacks nothing except for flaws regarding visual appeal, wealth, intellect, and personality.
Chai Ji-won establishes himself as a representative student of the sculpture department from his first day back, but there are always exceptions. Although everyone in Yein University knows him due to his incredible star presence, Bunny (played by Noh Jung-ui) makes a cute yet reckless mistake, not knowing about his existence. Curiosity arises about what could have flustered Chai Ji-won.

As curiosity grows about Joo Jun-young's transformation into Chai Ji-won, he revealed the reason for choosing 'Bunny and Oppas': "It was a work that received much love as a webtoon, so when I heard about the drama production, I had high expectations myself," he expressed, showing his unique passion by stating, "It's a fresh and charming campus story, and I really wanted to play the character 'Won', who captured my attention from the beginning."
He further introduced the character Chai Ji-won, saying, "At first, I thought he was a warm and perfectly flawless person," and added, "He has an endearing clumsiness and a boldness that emerges when it comes to 'Bunny', making him a character with a contrast in charm." He made sure to pay attention to styling and attitude as well. Additionally, he expressed affection by noting, "Since he is a character with a unique background, I tried to maintain a relaxed demeanor no matter what actions I took."
