Actresses Lee Ah-hyun, Oh Young-sil, and Ahn Yeon-hong confirmed their appearance in "Catch the Great Luck."
The new daily drama "Catch the Great Luck" (written by Son Ji-hye, directed by Park Man-young), scheduled to premiere in April, depicts the struggles of three friends—rich, poor, and those who want to be rich—and their families.
"Catch the Great Luck" is a collaboration between director Park Man-young, recognized for his diverse genres including "Three Siblings Brave," and "Manhole – The Strange Country of Phil," and writer Son Ji-hye, who has touched viewers with numerous family dramas such as "Strange Family" and "Love, Love."
Today (5th), the production team of "Catch the Great Luck" announced the addition of Lee Ah-hyun (playing Imi-ja), Oh Young-sil (playing Lee Hye-suk), and Ahn Yeon-hong (playing Hwang Geum-ok), following Son Chang-min (playing Han Mu-cheol), and Sun Woo Jae-deok (playing Kim Dae-sik), raising the anticipation of potential viewers.
Lee Ah-hyun takes on the role of Imi-ja, the wife of Han Mu-cheol and mother of two children. As the only daughter of a wealthy family, Imi-ja falls in love at first sight with Mu-cheol, a broke laborer, and ties the knot with him. After her husband’s business becomes successful, the elegant Imi-ja, now the owner of a building, expected to live gracefully for the rest of her life. However, she finds herself in a life-threatening crisis when Mu-cheol betrays her. Lee Ah-hyun, who has been active in dramas, musicals, and theater stages such as "My Eyes Have a Bean" and "The Incredible Inheritance," is expected to enhance the drama’s vitality by showcasing her chemistry with Son Chang-min.
Oh Young-sil plays Lee Hye-suk, the wife of the lovestruck Kim Dae-sik and mother of three children. She is caring and gentle, but once angry, no one can stop her fiery temper. Having once lived in a small room at Imi-ja’s house, Hye-suk is proud that her husband Dae-sik chose her over Imi-ja after rejecting Imi-ja’s confession. However, their rivalry will not end as they become entangled again in the landlord-tenant relationship. Oh Young-sil, who has captivated audiences with every work she has been part of, including "Darimi Family" and "Spring of the Gourd," is expected to show the true nature of a "K-Mom" and deliver an emotional impact.
Ahn Yeon-hong will appear as Hwang Geum-ok, who runs the café Mindeulle on the first floor of the Great Luck Building. A high school junior of Hye-suk and Imi-ja, Geum-ok is the only person who knows all about Imi-ja’s past. With her cheerful personality and wide breadth of concern, Geum-ok is a lovable aunt you can't hate, who reunites with Gu-tae, the real estate manager she had a crush on. Ahn Yeon-hong, who has left a strong impression with her characters in "Udan-tang-tang Family," and "Penthouse 2, 3," will draw attention to how she captivates viewers in this drama.
