Actor Jo In-sung and Cha Tae-hyun are establishing a new company.
According to OSEN's coverage on the 4th, Jo In-sung is currently preparing to establish an agency with his close friend Cha Tae-hyun.
Earlier, Jo In-sung reported the termination of his exclusive contract with NS ENM (formerly iOKAY Company), with which he had a relationship for 13 years. He built rapport with Ko Hyun-jung by appearing together in the 2005 SBS drama 'Spring Day,' and through that connection, he settled into NS ENM, founded by Ko Hyun-jung and her brother.
After maintaining a strong bond for over 10 years, reports emerged last September that Jo In-sung's contract with the agency would expire in the fourth quarter, and it was confirmed that there was no intention to renew the contract. At that time, NS ENM noted, "There has not been any decision made yet," but on the 3rd of this month, they officially announced the end of the exclusive contract with Jo In-sung.
At that time, NS ENM stated, "We reached the conclusion not to renew the contract with actor Jo In-sung after having in-depth discussions for a long time. We express our gratitude to actor Jo In-sung, who has been with us for such a long time with special trust and affection, and we sincerely support him, who will shine in various activities in the future."
Jo In-sung also expressed his gratitude, saying, "I want to convey my heartfelt thanks to the representatives and staff members who have been with me for a long time without change. I felt secure thanks to their unwavering support and endless encouragement, and I am very grateful. I will not forget the care and kindness you have given me over the past 13 years. Once again, I would like to express my deep gratitude."
Meanwhile, Jo In-sung is leaving the agency he has been with for 13 years to directly establish a new management company, and is expected to recruit junior actors to nurture the next generation of stars. However, Jo In-sung is currently staying abroad for filming his next project. Therefore, it has been confirmed that there are no specific developments related to the establishment of the company yet. Jo In-sung plans to start serious preparations after completing his filming schedule.
In particular, Jo In-sung's new beginning will be alongside his close friend Cha Tae-hyun. Cha Tae-hyun established Blossom Entertainment with a manager he had worked with for over 13 years in his previous agency, SidusHQ, back in 2012, but both have decided to walk their separate paths.
Blossom stated on the 4th to OSEN, "Actor Cha Tae-hyun's exclusive contract expired as of January." They added, "He has been with us since the founding, and we are deeply grateful to him," indicating a beautiful farewell as they agreed to support each other in their respective paths.
As such, Jo In-sung and Cha Tae-hyun, who are simultaneously entering the free agency market, are teaming up as family members. The two are known to be close friends, even collaborating on the tvN series 'Occasional President,' so there is keen interest in their synergy.
On the other hand, Jo In-sung debuted as a model in 1998 and began his acting career with the 2000 drama 'School 3.' He has appeared in dramas such as 'The Story of Bali,' 'Spring Day,' 'Dear My Friends,' 'It's Okay, That's Love,' 'That Winter, the Wind Blows,' 'Moving,' and films like 'Smuggling,' 'Mogadishu,' 'Ansyseong,' and 'The King,' and is currently in the midst of filming director Na Hong-jin's movie 'Hope' and is fully engaged in the next project 'Humint.'
Cha Tae-hyun made his entertainment industry debut by winning a silver medal at the 1995 KBS Super Talent Contest and has since appeared in films such as 'My Sassy Girl,' 'Scandal Makers,' 'Hello Ghost,' 'Gone with the Wind,' 'Along with the Gods: Crime and Punishment,' and dramas such as 'Sunflower,' 'Happy Together,' 'Into the Sunlight,' 'Juliet's Man,' 'The Prince's First Love,' 'General Hospital 2,' 'Jeon Woo-chi,' 'Producers,' 'The Greatest Divorce,' 'Police Class,' and 'Moving.'
