The member of the group EXID and actress Hanni has shared her recent news after 8 months, revealing a trip to India. As questions arise whether she traveled for leisure or another reason, she has caught attention by updating her status after a long time.
On the 3rd, Hanni posted a message stating, 'Thanks to Tushita & Everyone I've met' along with photos.
The photos show the people Hanni met in India. In another photo, Hanni is dressed warmly, smiling comfortably, possibly due to cold weather.
Earlier, on the 1st, Hanni shared her recent news by stating 'Dharamsala,' which delighted fans after 8 months. Dharamsala is a town located in the northern Indian Himalayas at an altitude of 1,700 meters, where the Dalai Lama established a government-in-exile with the support of then-Indian Prime Minister Nehru after fleeing Tibet in 1959.
Hanni had promised to marry psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong last year, but decided to postpone indefinitely due to a patient death incident. Fans are curious whether her trip to India is simply for vacation or for another reason.
In May of last year, a patient death incident occurred at Yang Jae-woong's hospital. It was revealed that a person, who was hospitalized for treatment of diet pill addiction, passed away 17 days after admission. The fact became known two months after the death, and Yang Jae-woong stated through his agency, 'The feelings of despair cannot be hidden by me and the medical staff regarding the incident that occurred during the hospitalization process. I sincerely apologize to the bereaved families who are in mourning for the deceased and their families.'
Yang Jae-woong appeared as a witness at the National Assembly's Health and Welfare Committee hearing, and when asked if he acknowledged any wrongdoing, he replied, 'I do not acknowledge it. It is difficult to acknowledge it.' He also stated, 'Once again, I apologize for not being able to ensure a safe recovery for your daughter or younger sibling whom you trusted and brought to our hospital.'
Currently, the investigation into Yang Jae-woong is reported to be suspended. According to a media outlet on the 25th of last month, the police suspended the investigation due to the lack of a response regarding the assessment results from the Korean Medical Association.
In response, Shin Seok-cheol, the executive director of the Korean Mental Health Association, stated, 'This is an incident that occurred after isolation and coercion, yet the police only sought advice from the Medical Association, which has argued for the inevitability of isolation and coercion representing psychiatrists. To suspend the investigation because they did not receive results is not fair,' and 'We plan to hold a press conference to condemn the suspension of the investigation in consultation with the bereaved families.'
Hanni halted her activities due to the impact of the patient death incident at Yang Jae-woong's hospital. She withdrew from programs she was scheduled to appear on and led a quiet life, but she started her activities again in November of last year by participating with EXID members in a festival held in Indonesia.
After more than 8 months, the recent news shared included a photo of Hanni with a short haircut, along with the news of her being in India, prompting fans to speculate whether there are changes in her mindset.
