Xiumin of EXO is preparing for a solo comeback, while his former agency, SM Entertainment, has revealed that it is blocking him from appearing on KBS2's 'Music Bank.'
The One Hundred noted on 4th, "Xiumin, who is under label INB100, is set to release a solo album on March 10. We have made several attempts to meet with the broadcasters, but KBS has remained unresponsive and has not returned our calls."
A spokesperson claimed, "KBS has informally conveyed that it is impossible for Xiumin to appear concurrently on programs featuring SM Entertainment artists, such as KBS2's 'Music Bank,'" adding, "We have continuously tried to reach out until today, but our efforts have been ignored."
In contrast, KBS took the position that there is no truth to Xiumin's side of the story.
On 4th in 2023, Xiumin's group, Chen Baekshi, notified SM Entertainment of the termination of their exclusive contract due to the refusal to provide settlement data and the allegation of coercing a slave contract. In response, SM raised suspicions of tampering against Chen Baekshi.
Although the situation seemed to settle with an agreement between SM and Chen Baekshi, conflicts have once again come to the surface, leaving fans distressed.
Meanwhile, Kim Dae-ho, who recently declared his freedom, has become a new member of Chen Baekshi. The One Hundred is the agency of the group THE BOYZ and also represents artists such as Taemin, Lee Mu-jin, VIVIZ (Eun-ha, Shin-bi, Um-ji), Bio, Ha Sung-woon, Ren, performance director Kasper, Kany, singer-actor Lee Seung-gi, entertainer Lee Soo-geun, and Bad Villain, along with EXO members Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen, who are under INB100's parent company.
