On the 3rd, the YouTube channel 'Chaejeolgojeonghae' released a video titled 'Non Non Non: Didn't You Go Downhill After Drinking?'
The video features Shin Jeong-hwan, Kang Byeong-kyu, exorcist Lim Deok-young, and Jang Hye-ri, who discussed the drinking controversy and shared their experiences.
Kang Byeong-kyu shared a story about meeting Kim Ho-joong at a drinking gathering, saying, "There are people who keep inviting me to precarious situations where acquaintances of acquaintances easily lead to drinking, which we call 'the devil.'"
In response, Jang Hye-ri said, "I have had similar experiences. The most challenging part so far is when they say, 'Let's talk over a drink,' implying that 'you have to build these connections to succeed.' There are those situations where drinking is fundamental, and even golf is involved. I don't drink well, nor do I enjoy those gatherings, so I have pondered, 'Should I go to this event if I want to continue in this career, or should I just handle it myself?"
Jang Hye-ri particularly noted, "When I was a rookie, there was a very famous representative who would invite male rookies to sing and perform. However, he would say, 'I will help you succeed. In return, be my girlfriend.' I was taken aback and said, 'I don't think so,' but he would mention other female celebrities he nurtured through such relationships, saying, 'There is a successful model.'"
Jang Hye-ri stated, "I felt a lot of pride wounded at a young age. I thought I needed to succeed without resorting to such means."
Meanwhile, Jang Hye-ri is a founding member of Girl's Day and a singer from the band Bibap. She garnered attention in 2018 after appearing on 'King of Masked Singer 5,' and she debuted as a trot singer in August 2020.
