'Mickey 17' (screenplay and direction by Bong Joon Ho, produced by Plan B Entertainment, distributed by Warner Bros. Korea) depicts the unpredictable story of Mickey (played by Robert Pattinson), a disposable expendable sent on dangerous missions who experiences the crisis of his 17th death, while Mickey 18 (also played by Robert Pattinson) is printed, believing Mickey has died. Based on the science fiction novel 'Mickey 7' by American author Edward Ashton, it is newly adapted by Director Bong Joon Ho, who also wrote the script and directed the film. This new work, released six years after winning the Palme d'Or at Cannes and four Academy Awards for 'Parasite,' is the third overseas project following 'Okja' and 'Snowpiercer.'
It premiered in South Korea on the 28th of last month, the first in the world, and crossed 1 million viewers in just four days, currently enjoying success.
