In "Lovers of Joseon," Lee Kyung-sil prepared a surprise gift for her son.

On the episode aired on the 3rd, Lee Kyung-sil appeared with her son Son Bo-seung on TV Chosun's entertainment program "Lovers of Joseon."

Lee Kyung-sil was depicted meeting the production team again. Lee Kyung-sil said, "My son's helmet is small while he drives. I plan to buy a helmet to encourage him," adding, "I will call for a driver myself." However, it was snowy weather. When the production team asked, "Are you planning to call in this weather?" Lee Kyung-sil showed a cold demeanor, saying, "If you want to earn money, you have to do it yourself." When asked about her change of heart, she said, "I want to buy a helmet and gloves," and moved on.

She then contacted her son, who happened to be waiting for a driver call. Lee Kyung-sil said, "There's too much snow, I can't drive. I'll give you money, so come here," to which her son responded, "Mom, have you been drinking?" He was puzzled but hurried to his mother's location since he hadn't received any calls.

Thus, her son arrived on a bicycle, breaking through the snowfall, and was surprised by the offer of a helmet. He expressed his astonishment at the unexpected gift, saying, "I’m so touched; I never imagined this," which moved everyone watching. Lee Kyung-sil added, "This is a gift to encourage you to live more diligently."

However, Son Bo-seung hesitated when he saw the price, clearly concerned about the expensive cost. When Lee Kyung-sil suggested buying gloves in addition to the helmet, he replied, "I already have gloves," wanting only the helmet. It cost 286,000 won. Nevertheless, Lee Kyung-sil coolly gifted it to him, and her son humorously responded, "I'll drive for free for you."

Building on the atmosphere, she offered to buy dinner as a full-course gift. They headed to a beef specialty restaurant. Her son remarked, "I've never eaten with mom just the two of us," and Lee Kyung-sil reflected, "We've never gone out just the two of us."

Upon arriving at the upscale beef restaurant, the two awkwardly sat together. Each serving cost 82,000 won. Lee Kyung-sil ordered the most expensive option without hesitation for her hardworking son. He remarked, "That’s three times what I earn in a day," adding, "When I was young, I didn’t know meat was precious, but now that I’ve earned money, I realize its value." Lee Kyung-sil responded, "You need to earn money yourself to understand the hardships and realize its worth." Her son expressed, "I can't even eat this kind of meat until tomorrow morning," gaining a newfound appreciation for money.
