The participant recalled, "I was doing parcel delivery when I received a call from my sister's friend after more than a decade. They proposed a business idea. When we met, they said I could recover the principal in three months with a 15% commission. I was tempted and gave money on the spot." Lee Soo-keun expressed his frustration, saying, "Why would they propose such a good business to you? They should do it themselves."
The participant revealed, "I invested 300 million won within six months. I only received interest during the three months. Within six months, I received 88 million won. I felt a bit foolish at that time. I had invested close to 400 million won. After six months, the principal no longer came in. About a year later, I was invited to a group chat with other victims. Including acquaintances, there are about ten people I know. It's estimated to be around 2 billion won." The participant mentioned that they now only have about 140 million won in debt after working tirelessly.
Seojang-hun advised, "Isn't it possible for the victims to respond collectively? Discuss whether you can respond together. Even if there are legal expenses, consider taking civil action. Won't it leave a lasting bitterness in your heart? Even if you can't get the money back, you should at least get a verdict. If you have something on the line, it might create legal responsibility." Lee Soo-keun added, "They torment you after serving their sentence."
Seojang-hun offered warm comfort, saying, "You are still 33 years old. Money is money. How can you gather up what has passed? It could be a costly lesson learned. Because of this, your life may improve. Since you're young and working hard, without a doubt, when we reach our age, you will live happily with a smile."
