Actor Chun Jung-myung spoke about his past relationship with a former partner he dated for five years in his early 20s.
On March 3, during a broadcast of tvN STORY's 'Can We Love Now?', actor Chun Jung-myung shared sincere stories while on a date with his younger match, Lee Hye-ri, who is 11 years his junior.
Lee Hye-ri asked Chun Jung-myung about his past romance. Chun Jung-myung said, "It's been so long since I dated that I don't remember well." He added, "I think it was about 2 or 3 years ago. I was a bit hurt by people and found it hard to trust others." Chun Jung-myung continued, "I'm pretty sensitive and touchy. I might not seem that way, but after going through a big event, I couldn't trust people. Everything felt like a lie, and it felt like a dream."
Lee Hye-ri asked, "Do you believe in destiny?" Chun Jung-myung honestly replied, "I do." Lee Hye-ri followed up, asking, "Have you ever experienced a fateful love?" Chun Jung-myung said, "I think I may have. If it were fate, wouldn't it have led to marriage? But rather than calling it fate, I can't express it."
Lee Hye-ri asked, "Have you ever introduced a girlfriend to your parents?" Chun Jung-myung said, "No," mentioning his former partner he dated for about five years, "I was too young back then."
Chun Jung-myung commented, "I was too young in my early twenties. If we had met at twenty, we would have broken up at twenty-five, but back then I hadn't established anything, and I hadn't gone to the military, so I was scared of marrying." He candidly said, "At that time, I wasn't confident about marriage. That's why we broke up. If that hadn't been the case, I think we would have dated longer."
Chun Jung-myung asked, "Since you said you believe in destiny, what do you think about today's meeting?" Lee Hye-ri responded, "In a way, it could have just passed by, but I met you, Chun Jung-myung, and I think all of this is destiny."
