Singer Lee Seung-hwan has been accused of forgery of official documents, yet he appeared unperturbed, saying, "Big welcome."
On the 3rd, Lee Seung-hwan posted the complaint he received regarding the forgery of official documents on his personal social media.
In the disclosed complaint, the Maryland Legal Video Research Institute accused Lee Seung-hwan of forgery of official documents and related offenses.
The complaint recorded that the complainant stated, "The accused, Lee Seung-hwan, committed crimes such as forging or altering official documents related to travel records in the United States around February 21, 2025. Therefore, I ask for a thorough investigation and severe punishment."
Previously, far-right internet users and YouTubers reported Lee Seung-hwan, along with Jaurim and IU, who attended a rally for impeachment, to the CIA. Subsequently, on the 16th of last month, Lee Seung-hwan boasted on social media, "I came to the United States for my nephew's wedding. I was not denied entry by the CIA or HTM."
However, some internet users claimed that the photos posted by Lee Seung-hwan were manipulated, and one YouTuber suggested, "Hey Seung-hwan, want to make a bet?" arguing that Lee Seung-hwan had not traveled to the United States.
In response, Lee Seung-hwan accepted the bet and revealed documents proving he had visited the United States; however, the Maryland Legal Video Research Institute accused him of forgery of official documents, claiming the documents were fabricated. Regarding this complaint, Lee Seung-hwan stated, "Big welcome to the accusations!!!" showing an unexpected acceptance of the charges.
