On Feb. 2, the KBS 2TV entertainment program 'A long-standing meeting pursuit' aired, featuring the after-dates of Koo Bon-seung and Kim Sook, as well as Jang Seo-hee and Lee Jae-hwang.
Koo Bon-seung and Kim Sook quickly broke the awkwardness and enjoyed a unique date. They decided to have an unconventional hospital date to solve their concerns about their appearances at the same age. The two visited a dermatology clinic and after a consultation together, Koo Bon-seung underwent an eye procedure he had been contemplating.
After the hospital date, Koo Bon-seung and Kim Sook had dinner together. The place Koo Bon-seung chose served Pyongyang cold noodles, which is Kim Sook's soul food. The two were surprised to find their tastes matched. While dining, they expressed curiosity about the after meeting between Hwang Dong-joo and I Young-ja, and called for Hwang Dong-joo, who was nearby.
With the arrival of Hwang Dong-joo, the conversation naturally shifted to I Young-ja. Kim Sook played a fan song made by fans. Hwang Dong-joo said, 'This is my first experience like this, so I don't know what's what yet. Watching the show, I actually felt slightly younger. I don't usually behave like this outside, but in there, I could express myself. I wonder if I was somewhat tipsy.'
At the same time, Hwang Dong-joo revealed that he occasionally exchanges messages with I Young-ja. He said, 'I didn't have my cellphone at the end, so I gave my contact to my manager. I was filming in Andong, and when I looked afterward, there was a message from Yumi. I kept saying, 'I got a message! I got a message!' I wondered how to reply, but it was really nice. Next, Kim Sook suggested calling I Young-ja. Hwang Dong-joo was flustered but smiled brightly, saying it was a good idea. He expressed, 'I made the call, but I was completely unprepared for it, so I didn't even know what to say, but it was nice.'
I Young-ja, who answered the call cheerfully, said upon hearing that Kim Sook was with Hwang Dong-joo, 'No, Dong-joo never said a word to me about wanting to meet. Aren't you supposed to like him? Was I just a decoy?' This reflected her feelings of disappointment and jealousy toward Hwang Dong-joo, who never directly said he wanted to meet her.
When Hwang Dong-joo answered the call, I Young-ja said, 'Well then, take care. If you have feelings for Sook, choose Sook. You never once said to me that you wanted to meet,' revealing her disappointment, and Hwang Dong-joo, flustered, responded, 'It seemed like you were busy.'
Kim Sook said to I Young-ja, 'Were you waiting for Dong-joo to ask you to eat? Dong-joo was waiting for you out of consideration.' She continued, 'He never said he wanted to meet, though. Is that how it ends after meeting? I am terrible at dating. What do I know?' Hwang Dong-joo, who had been cautious to consider I Young-ja, promised to go eat Pyongyang cold noodles, prompting interest in their reunion in the next broadcast.
