They're losing face.

Actors Joaquin Phoenix and RAY became the center of attention at the Golden Raspberry Awards for the musical sequel to Joker, "Joker: Folie à Deux" (hereinafter Joker 2). The Golden Raspberry Awards were announced on Feb. 28, two days before the 97th Academy Awards.

"Joker 2" won the award for worst prequel or remake. The worst screen duo went to the film's stars, Joaquin Phoenix and RAY.

This film features Joaquin Phoenix reprising his role as Arthur Fleck/Joker, and pop icon RAY playing the role of Joker's lover Harley Quinn, creating high expectations. Upon its release, it received mixed reactions. Some people think the sequel is "superior" to the critically acclaimed 2019 film and praised the performances of Phoenix and RAY, while others criticized it as a "derivative work" with no "fun."

Meanwhile, the Golden Raspberry Awards is a parody award show that honors the worst cinematic failures. Co-founded by UCLA film graduate and veteran of the film industry John J.B. Wilson and Mo Murphy, it is a satirical annual ceremony that predates the Academy Awards by 40 years.

The Golden Raspberry Foundation claims that this award "encourages famous filmmakers and top actors to acknowledge their shortcomings."
