The Adore side stated its position regarding the NewJeans members opening new social media accounts under the group name NJZ.
Previously, on the 27th, the NewJeans members caught attention by opening new accounts on platforms such as YouTube, X (Twitter), and TikTok.
In response, Adore noted on the 28th, "Adore maintains that the exclusive contract is valid and is awaiting a legal judgment on this matter," adding, "NewJeans has official accounts on social media and YouTube, and all other accounts were opened without prior consultation under the exclusive contract."
It added, "Non-content posting outside of the official accounts and other entertainment activities are violations of the exclusive contract and could lead to confusion for fans and advertisers, so we hope you will refrain from such actions."
Meanwhile, NewJeans declared the termination of its exclusive contract with Adore, announced the new team name NJZ on the 7th, and began independent activities by opening new accounts. They are set to perform at the "Complex Live" event in Hong Kong in March.
