Model Han Hye-jin faced a crisis of being isolated at her villa in Hongcheon.
On the 27th, a video titled "True story? Isolated while snow removal work in Gangwon-do?? Operation great escape in Hongcheon" was uploaded to Han Hye-jin's YouTube channel.
That day, Han Hye-jin headed to her villa in Hongcheon, Gangwon-do, for the first time in about two months. She said, "I was busy doing nothing. I couldn't take care of my house in Gangwon-do. Did the water pipe burst? Is the meter safe? According to my mom, snow is piled up to my knees at the front door, so I can't get in at all, and it must be a complete mess, which really scares me. I just want to sit by the stove with a fire and eat tofu stew."
On the way to the villa, looking at the snowy landscape, he said, "The snow hasn't melted at all. Hongcheon hasn't melted. This is a big problem. First of all, I think I need to buy a sturdy broom and shovel for snow removal." After buying snow removal tools at the hardware store and moving to the villa, he saw the villa piled high with snow and said, "I knew it would be like this."
Han Hye-jin said, "It doesn't make sense if the snow melted here. But it's better than I expected. This is what Gangwon-do is like. It's so cold that the front door won't work. It's supposed to be automatic. Why did we install an automatic door here in Hongcheon if this is the case?" She opened the malfunctioning front door and barely stepped into the yard.
She continued, "This is a big problem. The snow is way too blinding, and it's not a light snow. It's piled up so much that the temperature is rising, causing the snow on the deck to melt," and noted, "This side is north, so the snow doesn't melt," reacting with shock to the entrance scenery. In a situation where the snow was piled up and frozen solid, Han Hye-jin began snow removal amidst screams. She emphasized, "Don't build the entrance on the north side when constructing a house. Otherwise, it ends up like this."
After finishing a certain amount of snow removal, Han Hye-jin said, "No, this is it. Now I have to leave it to the heavens," and sat inside the house, staring at the fire. She thought, "Should I melt it with a torch?" while trying to melt the ice at the front door with the torch, but it was no use. Eventually, Han Hye-jin concluded the snow removal and went out to sled. He remarked about the valley, which was also frozen solid, saying, "I can't tell where the valley ends and the land begins," and added, "It's amazing because I'm standing on water right now." Meanwhile, one side of the valley melted, and as she stepped in, she was startled and fell down, bursting into laughter.
Taking advantage of a lull, Han Hye-jin enjoyed sledding and tried to drive to a restaurant for a meal. However, due to the accumulated snow, her car got stuck, isolating her at home. Han Hye-jin said, "Gangwon-do is my yard, and everything is outside of my control. I'm isolated," and lamented, "Oh please... oh, my fate. What should I do, everyone? This is a big problem."
She tried to escape using boxes and dirt, but the car didn't budge. In the end, Han Hye-jin barely managed to get the car out using chaff. She noted, "There's a reason why my mom didn't take me. When you're stuck in a snowfield, you should carefully observe the surrounding landforms and use dirt and chaff to escape the snowy path," and said, "Isn't it impossible to get out of here?
