Lee Hwi-jun, an MBC announcer, has been selected as the new host of "Today N", succeeding former announcer Kim Dae-ho, as he emerges as MBC's new star.

According to coverage by OSEN on the 28th, Lee Hwi-jun will serve as the new male host for MBC "Today N", which is set to air starting March 3. He will team up with the rising star Park So-young as the new co-host. The existing hosts, Park Ji-min and Jung Yeong-han, are expected to bid farewell to the viewers of "Today N" after today’s broadcast.

"Today N" is a program that airs in the morning as a sister program to MBC's flagship program "Live Today Morning", consisting of various information, life wisdom, food, culture, and social issues presented in a lively manner. In this context, not only has Lee Hwi-jun been selected as the new MC, but he will also take charge of the fixed corner "After Work N."

In particular, "Today N" and the corner "After Work N" have been works where former announcer Kim Dae-ho had long served as a male MC and a fixed corner host. Recently, as Kim Dae-ho has left MBC and transitioned to freelance, he had been active as the "MBC son." It is expected that Lee Hwi-jun will take over that baton.

Lee Hwi-jun joined the MBC announcer department in 2017. He built a trustworthy image for viewers as an anchor on programs like "News Today" and "Investigative Planning Straight." Additionally, he appeared on MBC's entertainment programs "King of Mask Singer" and "What Do You Do When You Play?", as well as contributing to MBC's announcer department's YouTube channel "News Hanni." In particular, he attracted attention for marrying former reporter Kim Ah-young, who left MBC last year, making them a couple within the company.

"Today N" broadcasts every Monday through Friday at 6:05 p.m.
