On the broadcast of MBC's entertainment show 'Save Me! Homes' on the 27th (Thursday) (directed by Jeong Da-hi, Kim Moon-seop, Kim Jin-kyung, Kim Wan-cheol), a special feature for the new semester aired, focusing on college students' shared living spaces with a segment on Seoul National University.
The broadcast that day featured an exploration of Gwanak-gu, the haven for shared living spaces, as the new semester began. Gwanak-gu is where the most students reside, and has the highest youth ratio as well. This exploration was led by actors Kim Shin-rok, Yang Se-hyung, and Yang Se-chan, all esteemed graduates of Seoul National University.
The three individuals traveled by vehicle to tour the expansive campus of Seoul National University and first visited the 'Seoul National University Student Dormitory.' The student dormitory consisted of old and new buildings, accessible through a wrist vein authentication door lock. The first floor of the new building, designed as APT., featured a convenience store and various amenities, as well as a cafeteria and relaxation area.
Next, they visited the 'Family Housing,' a multi-unit dwelling for married graduate students of Seoul National University to live with their families, consisting of a total of five buildings housing 200 units. The interior space was comparable to regular multi-unit dwellings and boasted a neat design. Applications for 'Family Housing' can be made quarterly through the university's website, allowing residents to stay for up to two years.
While exploring the campus, the three individuals accompanied a student heading to one of the local residences, 'Gangwon Residence.' Local residences are dormitories operated by municipalities for students attending universities in the metropolitan area, currently managed by eight local governments, providing useful information.
The three were greatly surprised to learn that the monthly rent for 'Gangwon Residence,' which includes three meals a day, is 180,000 won, leading them to embark on a food tour. They were impressed by the Korean buffet style and showcased their eating prowess, before subsequently exploring the fitness center and the interior of the residence.
The next location they explored was the 'Share House located 15 minutes on foot from Seoul National University.' Situated in Shinlim-dong, Gwanak-gu, the share house is a 15-minute walk from Seoul National University and is located right in front of a bus stop. It stood out with its stylish and sophisticated interior design, and included a free study cafe exclusively for residents.
Afterward, they introduced 'Revenue-generating one-room building sales' for those looking to rent near Seoul National University. Located in Shinlim-dong, Gwanak-gu, this building is adjacent to two stations on the Shinlim Line and consists of a total of four floors with 21 units.
Lastly, they presented 'Hotel renovation youth-focused dwellings' located in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu. The dwellings, converted from a hotel, are 40% cheaper than the surrounding market prices for youth-focused housing. The building featured a cafe and multifunctional cultural spaces, along with neat interiors in the living spaces and a variety of home appliances provided as standard options.
Next week's MBC 'Save Me! Homes' will air on Thursday at 10 p.m.
