In the recent episode of 'Current Men's Life: Groom Class', Shim Hyung-tak expressed his love and determination regarding his son Haru.
On the 26th, Channel A aired the entertainment show 'Current Men's Life: Groom Class' (hereafter referred to as 'Groom Class'), where Shim Hyung-tak and his wife Saya welcomed their son Haru.
Shim Hyung-tak noted, "Saya endured 12 hours of labor," adding, "The nurse said my wife is amazing. She held back her moans during labor," emphasizing Saya's noble suffering and sacrifice.
Lee Seung-chul expressed amazement, saying, "It's incredible to hold back even moans during labor. You could damage your teeth," while Shim Hyung-tak shared that he prioritized looking after Saya over the baby, stating, "I looked for Saya first before Haru," and he smiled as he recalled seeing Haru, saying, "I've never seen a cone head before. The head was really elongated when he was born."
Moon Se-yoon complimented, stating, "Once you become a dad, you really can have a conversation," while Kim Jong-min teased Shim Hyung-tak, saying, "Wow, I really looked up to you," prompting Shim Hyung-tak to retort, "Who said you could look down on me?"
After the birth of their child, the Shim Hyung-tak family moved to a postpartum care center. Shim Hyung-tak reminisced, saying, "Do you remember? A few months ago, when we were at the obstetrics clinic, wasn't there a mother holding her baby? I remember that moment. She was holding her baby just like Saya. Now, we've become that scene," revealing a moment of tender sentiment.
In the meantime, the face of Haru, the child of Saya and Shim Hyung-tak, was revealed. Haru, already boasting thick eyebrows, displayed a sharp nose and defined lips, showcasing a beauty not typical of newborns. Shim Jin-hwa, seeing Haru's face, praised, "He resembles BTS's Jungkook more than his dad," to which Shim Hyung-tak wished, "I really hope he looks like him."
Shim Hyung-tak skillfully fed Haru formula after watching over him in the postpartum care center without Saya. He proudly shared, "Now, I can hold the baby in one hand and prepare the formula with the other. I can do it now," showcasing his increased proficiency.
Shim Hyung-tak then visited the Administrative Welfare Center to register Haru's birth. After submitting all necessary documents such as the birth certificate and resident registration card, he laughed, seemingly in disbelief, and asked, "Once I register his birth, will my child's resident registration number be assigned? Is it permanent?" After revealing that the family relationship certificate takes ten days to process, while the registration itself is completed on the same day, Shim Hyung-tak's son Haru legally became a part of the family, eliciting admiration all around.
Shim Hyung-tak mentioned, "I was sleeping at the hospital, but when I got home, Saya sent me a message. She told me, 'Mr. Shim can now relax and live with me and the baby,'" adding, "I found those words very comforting. I was thinking that I needed to be a stronger dad after seeing Haru, and when my wife said that, I truly melted," hinting at his aspiration to be a calm and strong father.
