The first broadcast of SBS entertainment show 'Jungle Food 2 - Peru Food' (abbreviated as 'Peru food') aired on the 27th, showcasing actor Ryu Soo-young and chef Choi Hyun-seok challenging themselves to catch giant squid in Peru.
Choi Hyun-seok and Ryu Soo-young set out early in the morning to catch the giant squid, boasting a length of 2 meters. The two, filled with tension, expected a fishing boat that would take them to the Pacific Ocean but were shocked to find a small boat called 'Dimapro.' It was a situation where the giant squid seemed like it would be bigger than the boat. The members of 'Peru food,' including actress Kim Ok-bin, Choi Daniel, singer Dean Dean, and broadcaster Jeon Hyun-moo, expressed their astonishment, asking, "Is the giant squid going to be bigger than that?"
Choi Hyun-seok, expressing his doubts, said, "Aren't giant squids caught in the deep sea? With this boat? It seems like it will flip over with just a little wave." Nevertheless, the boat headed toward the Pacific Ocean. As it turned out, the actual Dimapro was already at sea. They had transferred to a small boat to reach it. Only after boarding the real Dimapro did Choi Hyun-seok finally breathe a sigh of relief.
However, Choi Hyun-seok nervously stated, "The last time I experienced significant seasickness was on a boat this size." In response to his continued mention of 'Dimapro,' Jeon Hyun-moo humorously suggested, "Why don't you make a dish called 'Dimapro'?" Subsequently, Ryu Soo-young and Choi Hyun-seok wore orange work uniforms reminiscent of 'Squid Game.' Jeon Hyun-moo added to the humor by saying, "It's scarier than 'Squid Game.'"
However, after an hour of sailing in the South Pacific night sea, there was not even a nibble. Concerns arose about whether they could catch a giant squid at all. Nonetheless, the preview of the following week's episode showed chefs Choi Hyun-seok and Ryu Soo-young preparing to fillet a 180 cm giant squid, piquing interest.
Having wasted the night without any catch, the captain comforted Choi Hyun-seok and Ryu Soo-young, saying, "If we don't catch anything by now, we should go back." The crew also remarked, "It's dawn now, and we still haven't caught anything. We need to return." They even shocked the others by stating, "There are giant squids at the market."
As it became 6:15 a.m. after a sleepless night, Choi Hyun-seok wore a weary expression while inducing laughter. When the 'Peru food' members expressed their dismay, asking, "What have we been doing until now?" Choi Hyun-seok responded, "It was a beautiful memory," eliciting more laughter.
