Actor Kang Tae-oh teased sexy acting through "Potato Research Institute."
On the afternoon of the 27th, a production presentation for tvN's new weekend drama "Potato Research Institute" was held at the Ramada Hotel in Sindorim, Guro-gu, Seoul. Director Kang Il-soo, actors Lee Sun-bin, Kang Tae-oh, Lee Hak-joo, Kim Ga-eun, and Shin Hyun-seung attended the presentation.
"Potato Research Institute" is a healing romantic comedy about the potato research institute that cries and laughs over potatoes, where the cold pragmatist Baek Ho (played by Kang Tae-oh) appears in the life of Mi-kyung (played by Lee Sun-bin), who has potatoes as her everything, swirling around like a spiraled potato.
Kang Tae-oh plays the role of So Baek-ho, a director in charge of organization innovation at Wonhan Retail and the temporary head of the Potato Research Institute. Regarding the character So Baek-ho, Kang Tae-oh said, "He is a cold pragmatist with clear standards. He is also sensitive to deviations from those standards and principles."
He continued, "When I meet the uncontrollable Kim Mi-kyung, situations arise that deviate from the principles I have in mind, and while watching Mi-kyung meddle, I become concerned, leading to conflicts and unknowingly blending in at some point."
In particular, about the description of "MBTI 'SEXY'" that appears in the character introduction, he expressed embarrassment, saying, "SEXY is a character I found sexy when I read the script, but I'm not sure if I portrayed it well." To this, Lee Sun-bin praised him, saying, "You portrayed it very well," increasing expectations.
Meanwhile, "Potato Research Institute" will premiere on March 1 at 9:20 p.m.
