Young-sik from 'I'm Solo' 24th season, who faced both criticism and support due to his reckless behavior towards Oksun, expressed his thoughts after the broadcast.
On the afternoon of the 27th, Young-sik posted a message on his SNS saying, "Today, I want to convey my reflections honestly rather than a confession. My experience over 5 nights and 6 days in Solo Nation has become a major turning point in my life, allowing me to discover aspects of myself I was unaware of and serving as a driving force for my growth."
He added, "Even though I appeared as a clumsy and ridiculous person in love, I sincerely thank the viewers who supported my genuine efforts in the broadcast and criticized my wrong actions. I will grow and live with a transformed attitude."
Young-sik, who grants in the 24th season of 'I'm Solo,' went directly after Oksun, whom he described as his 'fishing management girl.' He expressed, "You made my heart feel like spring in the cold winter, and I was warm. Oksun, I was happy just knowing that you liked me, even if you didn't choose me," while shedding tears in his confession.
However, Young-sik secretly observed Oksun speaking one-on-one with Young-ho through a crack in the door, and his unrefined behavior, with saliva foaming at his mouth, made viewers frown. His excessive obsession with Oksun evoked both concern and bitterness.
In the end, Young-sik realized that he was being managed by Oksun and said, "I was selfish. I think I was blinded by infatuation. That's why I ended up pressuring you for a choice. I was just filming a melodrama by myself," apologizing to Oksun before the final choice. Nonetheless, he honestly chose Oksun in the end, but Oksun rejected the final choice, stating, "There was not a single person who gave me rational attraction."
After the broadcast, criticism focused on Oksun, who flirted with all male contestants but gave up her final choice. This was due to her relentless fishing management to maintain her popularity throughout the program.
