Comedian Lee Su-ji's 'Daechi mom parody' has brought attention to actress Han Ga-in, who revealed her educational philosophy regarding her children.
On the 26th, Han Ga-in introduced her daily life raising her daughter, Jay (9), and son, Je-woo (6), on the tvN talk show 'You Quiz on the Block.'
Han Ga-in said that Je-woo expressed a desire to stop attending kindergarten one day.
Han Ga-in noted, "When I asked why, he said, 'I want to spend more time with mom,'" adding, "So I told him, 'Then quit,' and now we're doing 24-hour close parenting together."
He said, "I didn't send either of them to kindergarten and did home care," adding, "I thought I might not have spent enough time with the second child while taking care of the first, so I decided I should fully spend time with the second."
Han Ga-in emphasized, "What I want to say on this occasion is that people think I'm forcing my kids to study a lot because of my image, but that's absolutely not true."
He explained, "It's funny because he only attends the academy he wants to go to. I try to promise him beforehand, 'You have to stay for at least three months.' I'm worried he'll quit soon. But one day, after two months, he said, 'I really can't handle this academy. I don't think it's going to work.' When I asked why, he said, 'The teacher doesn't give me time to think.' So I replied, 'But we've made a promise, so let's go just two more times from today. If you still feel that way, you can quit.'"
He continued, "However, when Jay finishes her academy, all the moms are waiting outside, and she bursts out, 'If I come twice, I won't come back!'" adding, "Everyone was aware that Jay is Han Ga-in's daughter."
Last year, Han Ga-in shared her 'education riding schedule' for spending a day on her YouTube channel.
Recently, Lee Su-ji garnered attention with her character 'Daechi-dong mom Jamie' in a parody video of Daechi-dong parents. After some netizens left negative comments on Han Ga-in's YouTube video, she changed the video's privacy settings to private.
