Actress Lee Chae-young revealed the reason for her hiatus. Additionally, she firmly dismissed romantic rumors.
When a fan said, "Please stop traveling and work. I miss you," Lee Chae-young explained, "In 2023, I took on too much work, which led to some physical and mental health issues. Last year, I left the program (Girl Who Sees Smells) and took some personal time for myself." She asked for understanding, stating, "The most important things in life are health and happiness," and "I am cherishing my life and living it diligently, so please understand a little bit."
She also firmly dismissed romance rumors amid suspicions of a romantic involvement. On receiving a message saying, "I saw you at a lamb skewer restaurant a few days ago... I was going to greet you but held back. I'm cheering for you," she cheerfully replied, "Wow, that's really funny. He’s an elder I’ve known for over 13 years and was with acquaintances, so there’s nothing to cheer about."
Additionally, she added, "I visited the OO meat restaurant in Sinsadong today," and asked fans to greet her whenever they meet.
Lee Chae-young has been sharing her daily life while traveling around the world with her fans. When asked about her next travel destination, she responded, "I plan to go to a warm country to enjoy wearing a bikini and have fun drinking cocktails. I plan to go to Paris or New York, but the trip I’m most focused on is to South America in the second half of the year."
Lee Chae-young debuted in the 2007 drama "Witch's Adventure" and has appeared in productions such as "Finding a Son," "My Wife is Back," "Cuckoo's Nest," "Secretly Greatly," "Maidens," "The Man with the Secrets," and "Family." She left the SBS variety show "Girl Who Sees Smells" earlier last year.
