Actor Chin Young shared his thoughts on working with Dahyun.

On the 27th, an interview with the lead actor Chin Young from the movie 'The Girl We Liked Back Then' (hereinafter 'That Time') was held at a café in Palpan-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.

The film 'The Girl We Liked Back Then,' based on the Taiwanese film of the same name (adaptation director Cho Young-myung, provided by Film Company Take, produced by Film Company Take and Free Road Pictures, and distributed by WYSIWYG STUDIOS and CJ CGV), tells the story of 18-year-old 'Jinwoo' (Chin Young) who spent numerous days before confessing to 'Seonah' (Dahyun) in his first love. Receiving an official invitation to the 29th Busan International Film Festival, 'That Time' garnered attention even before its release. It debuted on Feb. 21 and is recording a rapid rise in box office success with a flood of positive audience reviews.

Particularly, Chin Young, who drew a romantic line with TWICE’s Dahyun in the film, recalled, "Back when I was an idol, I think we just greeted each other as we passed by. Initially, I even asked, 'Haven't we greeted before?' We didn’t have any acquaintance, but when Dahyun said she would do it, I thought her image and vibe matched really well. She really feels like a model student, very FM (functional). I thought she would fit this role perfectly and could act just as she is."

He continued, "As we worked together, I thought Dahyun had great adaptability in every moment. Looking back at when I first started, I think, 'It was hard to do it like that.' I couldn’t even remember what I did, but Dahyun, even though it was her first time, seemed to know everything and was well-prepared. I was a bit envious and thought that was impressive."

Additionally, Chin Young, who created the film's OST with Dahyun, mentioned, "Dahyun said it was her first time composing, but she really wanted to do it. We talked about definitely working on it this time, and she seemed to have a great time doing it. She also said she wanted to continue doing this in the future." He added, "In fact, Dahyun seems passionate about everything. Even when we were writing and composing together, she came up with a lot of ideas. I learned a lot and was impressed by her many qualities while collaborating."

Moreover, when asked if they might work musically together again in the future, he replied, "I mentioned that it would be nice to work together. Now that she is composing, after all," and smiled, adding, "Since we were both satisfied with our work, I think fun things will come out moving forward. If we do another genre next time, I think it would be interesting."
