According to the Associated Press and Daily Mail, on the 26th (local time), police reported that Trachtenberg was found dead at an APT. in New York, United States, around 8 a.m. The person who discovered the body was her mother.
There were no signs of foul play. It was reported that Trachtenberg had undergone a liver transplant after struggling recently with alcohol issues and may have faced complications as a result.
In recent years, the deceased raised health concerns after sharing social media posts that indicated she was not feeling well.
She told friends that she was struggling, especially noting that she had a very emotional year before her death, a source told People. One associate added, "She was really, really sick and opened up to those around her about how much she was suffering. She looked pale, weak, and very thin."
Additionally, a restaurant employee reported to Daily Mail that Trachtenberg was so ill during her last outing that she could not even go down the restaurant stairs.
Meanwhile, police stated that no conspiracy is suspected in her death. However, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
