Actors Lee Sun-bin and Shin Hyun-seung shared their real-life sibling chemistry.
On the afternoon of the 27th, the production presentation for tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama "Potato Research Institute" took place at the Ramada Hotel in Sindorim, Guro District, Seoul. Director Kang Il-soo, and actors Lee Sun-bin, Kang Tae-oh, Lee Hak-joo, Kim Ga-eun, and Shin Hyun-seung attended the event.
"Potato Research Institute" is a healing romantic comedy about a potato research institute where laughter and tears are part of life with potatoes, featuring Mi-kyung (played by Lee Sun-bin), whose life revolves entirely around potatoes, and the cold principled Baek-ho (played by Kang Tae-oh), who comes along and whirls into her life like a spinning potato.
In the drama, Lee Sun-bin plays Kim Mi-kyung, a deputy in the potato research team at Sun-nyeo Foods. When asked about her chemistry with Shin Hyun-seung, who plays her brother Kim Hwan-gyeong, the owner of USB Guesthouse, she noted, "Hyun-seung is calm, quiet, and has a stylish personality. In reality, too. But while actually filming with the actor Hyun-seung, maybe because I genuinely wanted to have a younger brother, it was fun to tease him."
She added, "It was so much fun to tease him and torment him. When something to joke about arose, I would go all the way to poke at it, so there wasn't much difference between when we were filming and when we were not," expressing her real-life chemistry and raising expectations.
Meanwhile, "Potato Research Institute" will premiere on March 1 at 9:20 p.m.
