Today (27th) at 10 p.m., MBC's 'Save Me! Homes' (directed by Jeong Da-hi, Kim Moon-seob, Son In-ji, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Wan-cheol, hereafter 'Homes') will feature a special episode focused on university students' off-campus housing in light of the new semester.
This episode of 'Homes' will conduct a field visit to Gwanak-gu, the sacred place for off-campus housing, as part of the new semester special. In this visit, actors Kim Shin-rok, Yang Se-hyung, and Yang Se-chan, who are alumni of Seoul National University, will head to the country's top prestigious university, Seoul National University, where the spirit of Gwanak Mountain flows.
While exploring the Seoul National University campus, the three are joined by a current student who is on their way to the dormitory 'Gangwon Hall' located in Gwanak-gu. 'Gangwon Hall' is one of the local dormitories operated by eight municipalities.
The student introduces the residency requirement for 'Gangwon Hall,' stating that 'the address must be in Gangwon Province or the person must be from a high school in Gangwon Province,' and also mentions that the monthly rent, including three meals a day, is 180,000 won, surprising everyone. In response, Kim Shin-rok recalls, 'I also lived at the 'Namdo Hall' since I'm from Gwangju, and I have so many memories from that time.'
With the help of 'Gangwon Hall,' the three move to a dining hall and begin their culinary field visit. The trio is captivated by the abundant side dishes of the Korean buffet style and showcases their eating performance. Yang Se-hyung exclaims, 'This is unbelievable. How can it be so delicious for 180,000 won! The admission competition must be fierce,' demonstrating a miraculous calculation, which reportedly astonished the studio.
After the culinary visit, the three discover a ping pong table in the fitness room and instantly engage in a ping pong match. Yang Se-hyung, who has a rally with Kim Shin-rok, jokes, 'This is how romance blossoms while playing table tennis,' then directly asks Kim Shin-rok, 'Would you like to have lunch together today?' hinting at a budding romance. Yang Se-hyung previously faced dating rumors with comedian Park Na-rae.
Next, they introduce a share house located a 15-minute walk from Seoul National University. Situated right in front of a bus stop, it boasts a stylish interior and various basic options. Residents can use the study cafe for free, and the building also has short-term rental rooms on the 9th floor.
Finally, they introduce 'youth-specialized dwellings' located in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu. This property, renovated from a hotel, allows entry for those who meet criteria like 'unmarried youth, non-homeowners, and non-vehicle owners' at a price that is 40% cheaper than the surrounding market rates. Additionally, artists receive extra points, drawing attention.
