Dahyun showed the reactions of the TWICE members regarding her first commercial film debut, "That Year."
On the 27th, an interview with leading actress Dahyun from the movie "The Girl We Liked That Year" (hereinafter "That Year") was conducted at a cafe in Palpan-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The film "The Girl We Liked That Year," which is based on the Taiwanese film of the same name (adaptation director Cho Young-myeong, provided by Take Movie Co., Ltd, produced by Take Movie Co., Ltd, Free Road Pictures Co., Ltd, and distributed by WYSIWYG STUDIOS and CJ CGV), tells the story of 'Jin Woo' (Chin Young) who spent many days until he confessed to 'Seon Ah' (Dahyun) during his eighteen first love.
On that day, Dahyun mentioned that the TWICE members came to the VIP screening, saying, "On that day as I was going around greeting on stage, the members were sitting at the end. So, at the timing when I greeted them, the members suddenly came down. I was like, 'What is this?' and they came down holding a bouquet and gifts. At that moment, I suddenly got emotional. Just the presence of the members was reassuring. But I was really thankful that they congratulated me in front of people."
She continued, "Also, after watching the movie, the members each sent me long messages through personal KakaoTalk. They said things like, 'Dahyun, you did so well,' 'You must have been nervous since it was your first acting, but I'm so proud of you,' and 'You did much better than we were worried about, so I will support your challenge.' They even made a cake and decorated it beautifully. They wrote personal notes for me one by one. It seems like the members went together to buy the bouquet as well. They also put photos they took together among the flowers. That's still in my room. I was really, really grateful for all the support."
Additionally, she said, "It seems like the member who couldn't come to the screening made time to watch the film yesterday. Jeongyeon reached out to say, 'I came to watch the movie,' and after watching it, she wrote something very nice on social media, which moved me. I really appreciated all the support messages, one by one."
She also shared the members' reactions to the first kiss scene. She said, "I saw through Bubble that fans were asking other members, 'Is Dahyun okay with the kiss scene?' but that member replied, 'I'm also anxious.' They said, 'You have to close your eyes then.' I guess the members think of me as their little sister since they have seen me since I was very young," she said, causing laughter.
